What is Microcurrent Point Stimulation?

MPS Therapy is both FDA-approved and proven to control pain levels. It combines the principles of acupuncture and neurology with microcurrent stimulation. It is a safe level of electrical current, the same that is naturally found in the body. MPS Therapy is successfully helping many patients control pain levels, improve movement, and improve outcomes with long-term effects. This treatment method helps tissue heal faster and relieves pain caused by injury or chronic conditions.

How does MPS work?

The MPS device locates and applies concentrated DC microcurrent to therapeutically active points (acupuncture and trigger points) to relax muscles, calm the nervous system, and release endorphins; the body’s natural painkillers!

The handheld device is engineered to detect and treat these active points with great scientific precision and potency, stimulating all three systems at once: nervous, muscular, and endocrine. Electrotherapy can help regulate the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). The ANS is made up of the Sympathetic Nervous System which is the “fight or flight” response and the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) which is the calming “rest and digest” response. Stress factors influence the body! Prolonged periods of stress within your body from adhesions, scars, or inflammation can lead to health issues, anxiety, and chronic pain.

Recent studies showcase the effectiveness of MPS therapies. A study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine looked at the effects of a single session of MPS Therapy applied to 34 patients who reported a history of nonspecific chronic neck pain. The study showed:

“Pain intensity showed an initial statistically significant reduction of 68 percent in mean neck pain levels after standard protocol treatment when compared to initial pain levels.” The study further found that neck pain continued to decrease over the 48 hours following treatment with a “statistically significant reduction of 35 percent . . . for a total average pain relief of 80 percent.”
